PAHANG BOLEH!!!!!

Dear Committee Members and friends,

PAHANG CREATED A HISTORY BY WINNING THE FIRST GOLD MEDAL IN MALAYSIAN INTER-STATE BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIP

12th January, P.Jaya: Pelapis Kebangsaan squad member, Johnathan Chan claimed Pahang's first gold medal of the 22nd Malaysian Interstate Bowling Championship by a comfortable margin in the Boy's Singles.

Johnathan Chan, who is a member of the national youth squad, did not disappoint his coaches when he romped home a comfortable victory to give Pahang its first gold medal with a six-game total of 1319. Chan finished 56 pins clear of his nearest rival to win his first individual gold medal. Perak's Muhammad Amin Abdul Razak set the early pace with a 244 opening game but a poor second game dropped him out of contention while Kedah's Ahmad Muaz Bin Mohd Fishol took over the running. A superb 243 from Chan saw the 18-year-old youngster closing in on the leaders. Another 224 and 255 in the fourth and fifth games allowed Chan to take over the lead and stretching his margin to 77 pins before the final game. Despite just scoring 189, Chan was able to fend off his rivals for the victory. Penang's Khoo Beng Khai stormed home to claim the silver medal with 1263 ahead of another strong finisher, Yusuf Abdul Raof of Wilayah Persekutuan taking home the bronze medal with 1258.

In the girl's division, Negeri Sembilan's Lim Hsu Zen upstaged some of the national youths favourites to clinch the gold medal with 1174. National youth, Tunku Haifaa of Pahang finished second with 1168 to give Pahang a head start with a silver medal while Nur Alyany Lahat Dadok of Johor snatching the bronze medal with 1163.

Dear Committee Members and friends,

PAHANG ADDED ONE GOLD AND ONE SLIVER IN THE YOUTH DIVISION
13th January, P.Jaya. Tunku Haifaa and Farah Izzazaya shot 372, 412 and 401 to take over the running with Sabah and Selangor in close company. Selangor's pair took over the lead from the Pahang pair after the fifth game but only led by 1 pin.

A poor 352 from the Selangor duo allowed our Pahang's girls to snatch the gold medal with 2287 while Selangor settled for the silver with 2281, just 6 pins adrift. Selangor's second pair claimed the bronze medal with 2264

Singles Gold medalist, Johnathan Chan partnering national youth, Rodson Tong of Pahang got off to a good start with 425 to take the lead but were quickly overtaken by Selangor's Tengku Muhd and Mohd Shafiq after the second game. A superb 475 from Mohd Haziq and reigning national champion, Fahmi Bahri shot the Johor pair into the front at the halfway mark. The national youth duo continued to lead but found their lead reduced to 11 pins going into the sixth and final game. Although they managed to knock down 401, fortunately the chasing our Pahang pair could only score 405 to give Johor the gold medal. Mohd Haziq and Fahmi Bahri triumphed with a total of 2449, only 7 pins ahead of Pahang, who totaled 2442 settled for the Silver medal.
